Barron’s 2019 Conference Recap

March 20, 2019

Martin Walsh attended the Barron’s Team Summit in Las Vegas in early February.  The conference is an invitation-only event, aimed at recognizing the achievements of the top financial advisors in the United States.  Mark R. Brown has been a perennially leader in Colorado atop the Barron’s Top 1,200 Advisors list. An annual event which Brown and Company has attended for the past several years, the Barron’s conference brings together the top wealth advisor teams from around the country for an opportunity to listen to research, share best practices and consider ways of improving the client experience. On the investment side, the conference featured several notable economists and speakers.  Jeff Gundlach, considered one of the most prolific bond managers in financial history and portfolio manager at DoubleLine, was a featured speaker.  Gundlach’s fixed income expertise is widely respected in the financial world.  In addition, Geetesh Bhardwaj, the director of research at SummerHaven, gave a talk on commodity investing and its prospects looking ahead at inflation. The conference was also an opportunity to learn best practices from across the financial advisor world.  The digitalization of wealth management was a common theme across the conference, reviewing how advisors can leverage technology for the benefit of their clients.  While technology can seem scary at times, in fact when used properly the addition of smart technology can improve client engagement and participation with respect their financial lives. We are honored to once again being invited to attend the Barron’s Team Summit and will continue to learn and grow with other top wealth advisors through the annual Barron’s conference.
