Non-Profit Spotlight: Rotary International

October 26, 2018

Recently, we have made a point to highlight the non-profits with whom we work most closely in our community.  We can think of no organization more important to us than Rotary International.  Indeed, Mark Brown is a multi-decade member of the Rotary Club of Denver Southeast.  Mark has also been a past President of the club.  You can find a link to the club here: https://portal.clubrunner.ca/2193  Rotary International is one of the largest not for profit organizations in the world.  In existence for over 110 years, Rotary currently has over 35,000 local clubs and over 1.2 million members globally.  The organization’s description: Rotary is a global network of 1.2 million neighbors, friends, leaders and problem-solvers who see a world where people unite and take action to create lasting change – across the globe, in our communities and in ourselves… Rotary members believe that we have a shared responsibility to take action on our world’s most persistent issues.  Our 35,000+ clubs work together to:

  • Promote peace
  • Fight disease
  • Provide clean water, sanitation, and hygiene
  • Save mothers and children
  • Support education
  • Grow local economies
Brown and Company is an enthusiastic supporter of Rotary International and our local club, Rotary Club of Denver Southeast.  Over the course of several decades, we have valued our strong connection to the local community members involved with Rotary here, and with Rotary International’s broader mission and purpose.
